It all started at Misano in 2009, with the reigning quadruple WorldSBK Champion taking his first win of what has been an illustrious WorldSBK career!

In his rookie season back in 2009, few people could’ve expected that Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) would’ve gone on to dominate in WorldSBK like he has done. The winning started in Italy, at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” on the Adriatic Coast. A thrilling Race 2 that season saw the Ulsterman launch from second on the grid, timing his move for the lead to perfection on the final lap to hold off home-hero Michel Fabrizio for his first win of his WorldSBK career.
